What this tool does

Instagram Profile Picture Display in 2026

Instagram displays profile avatars at three main sizes. The largest is 110 × 110 px on the profile page on mobile, with 150 × 150 px on desktop. The most common is 32-40 × 32-40 px in feed posts and Reels. The smallest is 28 × 28 px around the Stories indicator at the top of the app.

Uploading at 320 × 320 produces a sharp render at every display size. The 110 × 110 px profile view downscales cleanly, and the smaller thumbnails downscale further without introducing the blur that upscaling causes.
