When PNG Is Worth the Larger File Size
PNG is the right choice when: you are creating or editing a graphic, logo, or illustration that requires sharp edges, you need a transparent background (logos on colored banners, overlay graphics), you are working with screenshots or UI images where text must remain crisp, or you are building a file you will edit many more times.
