iPhone 17 Pro Wallpaper Resizer (1206 x 2622)
Pre-set to iPhone 17 Pro native resolution. The same 1206 x 2622 covers iPhone 17 (standard) as well - the Pro and base model share the 6.3-inch display. For the larger Pro Max, use the 17 Pro Max preset.

iPhone 17 vs 17 Pro: Display Identical, Everything Else Different
Apple's strategy with iPhone 17 was to bring Pro-tier display features (ProMotion 120Hz, Dynamic Island, 6.3-inch size) to the standard model. This means wallpaper designs work identically across both:
Resolution: 1206 x 2622 (both) Pixel density: 460 ppi (both) Refresh: 1-120Hz ProMotion (both) Aspect ratio: 19.5:9 (both) Color space: P3 wide gamut (both) Dynamic Island position and size: identical
What differs for wallpaper relevance:
Peak HDR brightness: 2000 nits (17) vs 3000 nits (17 Pro). Affects how vivid bright highlights look outdoors. Color calibration: Pro is more accurately calibrated to P3 D65 white point. Less relevant for casual wallpapers, important for photographers. Materials: Titanium frame on Pro changes the bezel reflectivity. Has no effect on wallpaper rendering.
A wallpaper sized at 1206 x 2622 works equally well on both phones. No reason to design two versions.
Pro Display Calibration: When It Matters
The iPhone 17 Pro's display calibration is tuned more accurately than the base iPhone 17. For most wallpaper users, this is invisible. For photographers and designers using wallpapers as visual references, it can matter.
When Pro calibration shows up:
- Subtle color gradient transitions (especially in skies, water, sunset photos) render with fewer banding artifacts. - Saturated reds and greens display closer to their true sRGB / P3 values without the slight color shift seen on the base model. - Dark areas of dark wallpapers maintain detail in shadows rather than crushing to pure black.
If your wallpaper is a photograph and you care about color fidelity, design with P3 wide gamut and Pro will render it accurately. If wallpaper is decorative (gradients, illustrations, abstract designs), the difference between Pro and standard is barely noticeable.
